I must say, the new course I have started is very interesting. Looking at materiality in relation to the environment as well as doing some research into how much resource it takes to grow each type of plant for the materials etc. It kind of blows your mind.


I think this sort of thing is sometimes over looked in regards to costume, as there is such a tight time frame and decisions need to be made quickly, there isn't enough time to sit and ponder the choices of where the fabric comes from and what plant it comes from.


I am aiming for this to be is something I am going to consider a lot more as I progress through my costume journey.
