The brief for this project:
Choose a geographical location, time period and style reference for a production of A Winters Tale. Design costumes for: Mariner, Antigonous, Clown and Shepard.

For this project I chose 1970's Czech republic village life mixed with a farmers aesthetic. The mixed use of corduroy and modern suiting allowed for a contextual, and visual, story line just in costume. THE COMBINATION OF MODERN CLOTHING WITH APPEARINGLY MORE TRADITIONAL, SPOKE TO THE THEME OF TIME.

I worked with a costume assistant to create the costumes for these characters Through a mixture of sourcing clothing, alterations and special effects make-up.
