1. From the perspective of a specific area of expertise within your group, discuss how far critical/theoretical concepts and/or theatrical practices could inform your work in creating a performance that seeks to interrogate the ways in which stories are both constructed and told in the theatre.

2. The extent of the costumiers craft means that experiential learning, or ‘learning through reflection on doing’ (Felicia, 2011) is essential to a costume makers ongoing professional development.  Within the context of your personal project, discuss a number of skills you have acquired or refined as a result of your practice, reflecting upon how your experience of that process has contributed to your development as both a designer and maker. Using the framework of your learning you should demonstrate your wider understanding of the processes of theatre making, evaluating how and why experiential learning is so relevant to the theatre environment.

3. Theatre costumiers are constantly required to upgrade their skill set as they respond to the practical, aesthetic and financial requirements of directors and designers over the course of their career. Reflecting on your personal project and the processes required to create it, discuss the necessity of research, discipline and self-motivated learning in the creation of costume for the stage and how your use of these skills contributed towards your making process.
