No performance?!

I was recently discussing my artistic interests with someone I had met for the first time, and they said something I was quite shocked by.

'but there's no performance?!'

I guess this is really interesting and something I could go into in my write up.

I understand where that statement comes from, as most costume is created for a performance, or at least and actor. But I dont see costume as a symptom of a performance or a product of casting. I see costume as an art form and something that should hold value in itself.

Time to change the norm! And that is exactly why I am doing what I am!

Costume is art, not always a tool!
