Today we got to meet with Dan Swift, from Concrete Youth Theatre company. We learnt a lot about sensory theatre, theatre for those with learning difficulties or disabilities.

I looked at the materiality of costume in relation to SEN and how costume can be used as a sensory experience for those who need it. How do the materials we choose exclude individuals? It's not great to say, but I never considered how exclusive costume is, and how costume can make people feel forgotten, and now I am sure to bear it in mind.

I have to say this group do a superb job, and Dan sure knows his stuff. To think he graduated in January, from the course I am studying.

Stay Curious, Creators
